Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Howell-Edwards-Doerksen mortuary, Salem, for Clyde Eldon DeSart, 82, of 3416 DeSart Road NE, who died Thursday. He was a lifetime resident of the Central Howell area, where he lived on the donation land claim of his grandfather, George Washington Shaw. He retired from farming in 1968. He was a member of the Market Street Church of Christ, Salem. Survivors include his wife, Ida P; a son; a daughter; a sister; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Interment will be in Belcrest Memorial Park, Salem. The family suggests contributions to the Oregon Heart Association or the American Cancer Society. (Statesman Journal, Salem, Oregon 4/24/1982)
