B.F. MASON DEAD
Former Postmaster of Unintown and Early Resident of Rockford Valley Died This Morning
B.F. Mason, a well known resident of Uniontown, and former postmaster there, died at an early hour this morning at the family home. He has lived in Bourbon county since the sixties and lived on a farm in the Rockford Valley before moving to town. He has been in failing health for many months.
Mr. Mason is survived by a widow, a daughter, Mrs. Maggie Pool, who was at his bedside, a daughter, Mrs. Caroline Anderson of Washington and a son, David Mason, of Colony, Kans. He was past 70 years old and a native of Ohio. He had long been a member of the Methodist church.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Word was received here Saturday morning of the death of Mr. B.F. Mason, at his home in Unintown.
Mr. Mason spent the greater part of his life in this neighborhood on the farm which is now owned by Ray Beaman. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Gordon of Fort Scott and interment was made in the Hatch cemetery Sunday afternoon. The family have the sympahy of the entire community.

The death angel has claimed another one of our oldest citizens, B. F. Mason, one time postmaster here. He died Saturday morning at 7 o'clock. Funeral services were held at the M.E. church conducted by Rev. Gordon of Fort Scott. Another good man has gone. Mr. Mason was highly respected by all who knew him. The family has the sympathy of the community.
