EDGAR ROSS DIES
Edgar A. Ross, 58, native of Rockport, Ind., who had been here about a year and a half, died at the veterans administration facility Saturday afternoon having been ill about two weeks. Death was from pneumonia. Prior to living here he resided in Gulfport, Jackson, Columbus and Mobile.
Besides his wife he leaves his mother, Mrs. Sarah Ross, Biloxi; a brother, J.F. Ross in Florida; five children, Mrs. W.L. Mosner, Biloxi; and Katherine, Margaret, Robert and Edna.
He was a Spanish-American War veteran, from Tennessee.
The funeral will be held at the veterans' administration facility this afternoon with military honors and interment in the national cemetery there.
A squad from the local National Guard battery will participate in the exercises. Services will be by Rev. G.C. Hodge of the Baptist church.
Mr. Ross will be the first person to be buried in the new cemetery at the facility.
