The birth state and death state are in question.Harlan Spry, 74, died Sunday night at his home at 2030 South St. Aubin street following a heart attack which he suffered several hours earlier.

Mr. Spry was born in Mount Pleasant Ia., March 6, 1861. He resided there until 1903 when he moved to Ottumwa, where he lived until 1909. Later he moved to Onawa. He lived in Sioux City about 22 years.

Mr. Spry and Miss Olive Kauffman were married in Mount Pleasant September 8, 1886. Had Mr. Spry lived until next September they would have been married 50 years. He was a member of Grace Methodist church and Mystic Lodge, I.O.O.F. of Mount Pleasant.

Survivors, besides the widow, include five sons, Hugh of Sergeant Bluff, Clyde of Bronson, Leo of San Jose, Cal., Lesley of Missouri Valley and Frank of Sioux City; one sister, Mrs. Mina Halleron of San Jose, and 10 grandchildren.
