Deceased was the daughter of Sam and Frances Davis, who moved to Tennessee near Ripley in Lauderdale County in 1872. She was married to John Needham Branch Nov. 3, 1875, he having preceeded her in death Nov. 26, 1925. To this union eight children were born of whom survive: four sons. S.B. Branch, F.O. Branch, M.E. Branch and J.E. Branch all of near Almo (Alamo) and three daughters, Mesdames Hattie Sue Medlin and Eva B. Medlin of this city and Mrs. Katie Lee Howard of Memphis, all of whom were present at the funeral.
The funeral services were conducted by Rev. C.A. Riggs at 11 A.M. January 2nd at the Methodist Church in Almo (Alamo), she having been a member this faith more than 35 years - a faithful and consistent member until death. Besides her children she leaves one sister and brother of Brownsville, Tenn., Mrs. Anna Drummond and Sam Davis, and another sister, Mrs. Rosa Green of Maury City, Tenn.
The deceased spent a great part of her time with her two daughters, Mesdames Medlin of this city where she won many friends, all of whom regret to learn of her death and extend their sympathy to the bereaved relatives.
Mesdames Matt and T.J. Medlin were with their mother at and a few days prior to her death.
