Priscilla was a Cherokee Indian. Back then Indians were not allowed to be buried in a white man's cemetery. She and Jeremiah probably do not have headstones, although according to Indian custom may have rocks or stones placed where they are buried.

Additional Information:
Priscilla (Floyd) Hurst, and two of her daughters, Priscilla Hurst and Susannah Hurst, died in December 1859, while daughter Louisa Hurst died in January 1860 -- all from Typhoid Fever.
