Mrs. Alice Preis
Mrs. Alice Selbuy[sic] Preis, 69, of 19 Mon-
tgomery, Moro, died at 3:05 p.m.
Thanksgiving Day at St. Anthony's
Hospital after a lengthy illness.
She was a court stenographer for many
years in Calhoun County and later in the
St. Louis City Court System.
A native of Hardin, she married
Everet Preis, who died Feb. 1, 1956.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs.
Robert (Doris) Walker of Moro, Mrs.
David (Vikki) Hoxsie of Alton, Mrs. Bill
(Carol) Grissom of Wood River and Mrs.
Marvin (Nancy) Akers of Jerseyville;
two sons, William J. of Godfrey and Ivan
G. of Yellville, Ark.; 17 grandchildren and
four great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at
Smith Funeral Home in Bethalto.
