JOSEPH LAUFER
Joseph Laufer, aged 80 years, died at his home at Brodheadsville Saturday morning at 1 o'clock. He was a lifelong resident of this locality and well known, having taken an active part in civic affairs. He was supervisor of his township for 20 years and served several terms as Overseer of the Poor. He was a member of the Reformed church and active on the church board.
Mr. Laufer is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Clayton Fetherman of Brodheadsville and Mrs. Harold Mengle of Buffalo. N. Y.: one brother. Charles Laufer of Allentown; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
The funeral will take place on Tuesday at 1:30 p. m. at his late home with further services at Brodheadsville Reformed church, conducted by Rev. Evan Bohner. The burial will be in the cemetery adjoining the church.
