Funeral services honoring the life of Garland Inel Cole, 79, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, January 12, 2008 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Southside. Officiating will be Reverend Trey Lewis and Brother Al Richardson. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. January 11, 2008.
Mr. Cole was born September 13 1928 in Grayson, LA to Lionel and Mary Cole. He passed away into the arms of the Lord January 9, 2008 after a lengthy illness. Mr. Cole was a resident of Shreveport where he was a retired cabinetmaker.
Mr. Cole was preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 54 years, Florice Cole of Shreveport, LA; his special pets Annie and Chico; daughters, Ann Suhar and husband Joe of Shreveport, LA, Sue House and husband Lloyd of Pearl, MS, Marie Broome and husband, Jeff of Keithville, LA; six grandchildren, six greatgrandchildren, sisters-in-law Minnie Elkins of Stonewall, LA and Bernice Harville of Shreveport, LA.
Pallbearers will be Mike Sonnier, Damon Sonnier, Chris Berry, Jason House, Lloyd House, Jeff Broome, Joe Suhar, Randy Berry and special friend, Tommy Rainbolt.
The family expresses a special Thank You to the faculty and staff of Life Care Hospital, Dr. Michael Moore and all the others physicians.
