" Franklin Pierce Confer, a retired farmer and resident of Warriors Mark for the past 48 years, died at his home at Warriors Mark Wednesday morning Feb 22, 1939, at 7:15 o'clock of diseases incident to old age. He had been ill only a few days.

Mr. Confer was a son of Jacob and Martha (Andes) Confer, and was born at Jerseytown, Lycoming county, on April 24, 1852. On December 25, 1873, at Bellefonte, he was united in marriage with Mary Adams.

He is survived by his wife and two sons, H. T. Confer of Altoona and C. E. Confer, at home; also 11 grandchildren and two sisters: Mrs. Martha Carns, of Bloomsburg and Mrs. Linda Weliver, Berwick.

He was a member of the Warrior's Mark Lutheran Church.

Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. David M. Kerr at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon in the Warrior's Mark Methodist Church. Interment in Lurket (sic) cemetery, Warriors Mark. The body may be viewed at the Cox funeral home in Warriors Mark.
