CHARLES CITY, IOWA — Darlyn (Mrs. August) Gerberding, 84, of 300 S. Joslin Street, died Thursday (April 23, 1998) at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital, Charles City.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Saint JohnEvangelicalLutheranChurch, CharlesCity, with the Rev. Dennis D. Niezwaag, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the RiversideCemetery, CharlesCity.
Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. today at Hauser Funeral Home, CharlesCity, and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.
Memorials may be directed to the St. JohnEvangelicalLutheranChurch.
Darlyn Murtelle Blanck Gerberding was born February 16, 1914 at Ceylon, Minnesota.
She is survived by three sisters, Virginia Moore, of Des Moines, Edith Gerberding, of CharlesCity, and Ramona Morse, of Osage; and a brother, Nathan Blanck, of Waterloo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, and a sister.
