McBain, 74, 103 38th St., Moline, died at 2 yesterday morning in Moline Public Hospital, where she had been a patient 5 ½ days. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 tomorrow afternoon and evening at the Wendt Brothers Funeral Home, Moline, where arrangements are pending. Since the spring flood on the Mississippi, Mrs. McBain had been living at 3919 32nd Ave., Moline. She was born Jan. 5, 1891, in Shenandoah, Iowa, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Babcock, and attended schools in Sioux City, Iowa. She was married to Guy Francis Hancock in the fall of 1908, and he died in the summer of 1933. In September, 1936, she was married to Clyde McBain in Moline. Surviving are the widower; two sons, William Hancock and Russell Hancock, both of Moline; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Besides her first husband she was preceded in death by a son Howard, and a brother." ." [Obtained and Transcribed, 22 August 2008.
