Tony Smitherman officiating. Burial followed at Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton, with Martin Funeral Home directing. Adkins was born on July 14, 1914 in Coffee County, the son of the late Levy and Julie Adkins. He was a mechanic. He died on Jan. 20, 2000, at Chilton Medical Center.
