Daughter of Rachel A. Richards and James R. Phoenix, she never married.
Minnie belonged to the Rebekah Apron Club.

"Funeral services were held for the late Mrs. (sic) Minnie A. Phoenix of Ruthven, who died at Cherokee, Dec. 1 at 4 p.m. after a prolonged illness, at Lightle-Hayes Funeral Parlors, Ruthven, Iowa on Monday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Willis McLaughlin, Minister of the First Methodist Church officiating.
Mrs. Phoenix is survived by two nephews, Roy Hubbard of Polson, Montana and Rue Hubbard of Menlo Park, California.
Mrs. Rex Hubbard of Hollywood, California, wife of a deceased nephew, was present at the services.
Miss. Phoenix had served as Post Mistress in Ruthven several years and was well known in the vicinity.
She was born in Whitewater, Wisc. moving here in her teens and coming to live with grandparents.
Bearers were Iver Holmgren, Willard Reed, Foster Reed, Paul Powers, Emil Hansen, and Bert Miller.
Commital was at Crown Hill Cemetary, Ruthven."
