Clyde Adams
GALENA, Kan. — Clyde L. Adams,
63, 207 W. Empire St., died at 8:28 a.m.
Monday, Oct. 13, 1997, at St. John’s Re-
gional Medical Center, Joplin, Mo., after
a short illness.
Mr. Adams was born April 15, 1934, at
Seneca, Mo. He lived most of his life in
Galena.
He was a truck driver for Lawrence Freight
Lines, Kansas City, Mo. He retired in 1986.
He attended Empire Mission, Galena.
He married Marcella Ritcinger on June
28, 1956, at Miami, Okla. She survives.
Additional survivors include three sons,
Rick Adams, Hardin, Mo., and Russell
Adams and Ronnie Adams, both of the
home; a daughter, Joann Whittington,
Neosho, Mo.; a brother, Dean Adams,
Miami, Okla.; a sister, Deb Gowens,
Galena; six grandchildren; and a great-
grandson.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday
at Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena. The
Rev. Bob Winnett will officiate.
Burial will be in Pence Cemetery, near
Baxter Springs.
Pallbearers will be Bill McCloud, Rick
McCloud, Terry Hood, Wayne Hood,
Ronnie Berry, Randy Berry, Frankie
McCumber and Chris Krei.
The family will receive friends from
7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
