Ollie is the daughter of George W. Self and Emma Margerette Pritchett.

She was first married to Fred McDaniel and to this union was born Joe Ann McDaniel.

She married an Ottis Guy Compton

Later she married Whitney Benedict Deslatte.

Mrs. Ollie Deslatte, 88, of Indian Lake, Texas, died Friday, Dec. 21, 2001, at Memorial Hermann Baptist Beaumont Hospital. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 24, at Memory Gardens in Nederland under direction of Dorman Funeral Home. The Rev. Frank Hodges, pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church in Nederland, will officiate.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, at the funeral home.
Born in Cloudy, Okla., she was a resident of Indian Lake for 30 years and a homemaker.
Survivors include her son, Billy Garner of Indian Lake; brother, Bill Self of Fairmount, Texas; granddaughter, Brenda Wilson of Livingston, Texas; great-grandchildren, Angela Crawford, Rachel Tolar and Suzanne Prosperie, all of Livingston, Brandy Redmon of Warren and Tracy Wilson, also of Livingston; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
