Raymond Southwick Beloved Husband, Father Raymond Southwick, age 84, passed away Tuesday evening, Sept. 18, 2007 surrounded by family members. He was born June 6, 1923 to William I. Southwick and Mary Louise Campbell. Raymond grew up with his six brothers and one sister in Liberty, UT.

He served as a combat engineer in several campaigns including D-Day in World War II. Raymond married Ruby Dickerson on Sept. 26, 1945 in the Salt Lake Temple. They raised four children. Raymond worked with his family in their saw mill business. Later he was a farmer and home builder in eastern WA. He retired as a bank Agricultural Appraiser. Raymond spent many happy hours hunting, fishing and camping with family members. He loved the outdoors.

Raymond was active in the L.D.S. church, serving as a missionary, seminary teacher, high councilor, Bishop, Patriarch, temple worker and home teacher.

His greatest work was that of husband and father. Raymond is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ruby; sons, Scott (Jana), Wayne (Norene), Clyde (Michele); and daughter, Renee (Robert) King; 22 grandchildren, nine great-grand-children; and brother, Dale (Eathea) Southwick, Dietrich, ID.

Funeral services will be Sat. Sept. 22, 2007, at 12 noon at the River Stake Center, 1380 West 6785 South, where there will be a viewing from 10-11:30 a.m.

Interment will be in the Liberty, UT cemetery.
