Dave Guffey, 95, of Scottsboro, passed away Friday, August 29, 2008.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 2, at 2 p.m. from Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Guffey was born on November 11, 1912. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Scottsboro. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Alberta Bell Guffey; brothers and sisters, Joe, Walter, Earl, James, Houston, Sally, Irene and Ruby; great-grandchildren, Austin and Madison Furlough.
Mr. Guffey is survived by his children, Danny David Guffey, Roy Wilhelm and Geraldine Blevins; grandchildren, Danielle Furlough, Amanda Guffey, Tristan Guffey, Jessie Wilhelm, Marcy Cain, Diane Huskins, Earnestine, Teresa, Ray, Tina, Gail and Ladean; as well as great-grandchildren, Whitney, Emily and Aiden Furlough and Austin Cain.
He was loved and will be missed by his many family members and friends.
