Information has been received of the death of W. S. Thomson, which occurred very unexpectedly at his home in Fossil, Oregon, on January 4. Hear trouble is reported to have been the cause of death. Besides his wife, Mr. Thompson leaves three sons and one daughter to mourn his sudden taking off. Among the relatives who are well known to many residents of Colfax are Mrs. Emma Thompson, his mother, who resides at 327 Nora Avenue, Spokane; J.F. Thompson, brother, formerly of Colfax but now of Lewiston, Idaho, and Mrs.W. J. Davenport, his sister, who for 26 years resided in Colfax, but is now a resident of Seattle.
