Mrs Emily Adamson Kearns, 85, 2287 Windsor St., died Monday at 6:30 p.m. in a Salt Lake hospital of causes incident to age.
Daughter of David P and Agnes Nichols Adamson, she was born Aug 28, 1862, in Borland, Sirshire [Fifeshire], Scotland. Mrs Kearns came to the United States when 19 years of age.
She settled in American Fork with her parnets, later moving to Salt Lake City.
Mrs Kearns was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Her husband, Samuel Kearns, died in 1908.
She is survived by three daughters and two sons; Mrs Kathryn Hamann, Mrs Anne Vincent, Mrs Ruby Platt, Salt Lake City; Jack Kearns, Los Angeles; Roy Kearns, Oakland, Cal., 32 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
