George Washington Russell Bolinger, 83, Star Route, Witter, died June 17 in the Huntsville Memorial Hospital. Born April 6, 1893, in Madison County, he was the son of Asa and Sarah Hayes Bolinger, and the widower of Ethel Gertrude Bolinger, who died February 2, 1967. He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include two sons, Homer Bolinger, Republic of Mexico, and Roy Bolinger, Springdale; two brothers, Bill Bolinger of California, and Joe Bolinger of Oklahoma; one sister, Mrs. Martha Knox of Oklahoma; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services were held Monday, June 21, at 2 p.m. in the Witter Cemetery with the Rev. Dennis Cottrell officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.
