Peter Trompeter, an old citizen of this county, died at the home of his son-in-law Mr. Smith on West Florence street, Tuesday night. He has been a resident of Horton for more than a year, living with his wife near the Central Hotel, which was owned by him. Monday the old gentleman concluded to visit his children living in the country, and on returning stopped at Mr. Smith's for rest and supper. While partaking of the meal he acted strangely, and it was discovered that something was wrong. He lived only a few hours and died of paralysis of the brain. The funeral occurred today.
