Lee Ellis, 75, Lexington, MO, died Tuesday, July 15, 1997, at his home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, July 17, at the Walker-Nadler Chapel, Lexington; burial will be in Greenton Cemetery, Odessa, MO, with military services provided by Lexington V.F.W. Honor Guard. Masonic services will be held at 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Lexington or Lexington Little League Baseball Association.

Mr. Ellis was born March 9, 1922, in Elmira, MO.

On March 9, 1946, he married Jewell Barker. He was a member of Lexington Masonic Lodge 149 A.F. & A.M.; American Legion; and the V.F.W. He retired as a supervisor from the Lake City Arms Plant in 1982. He was a former Chief of Police of Lexington, MO; a coach in Ban Johnson Baseball; and a member of the Lexington Little League Baseball Hall of Fame.

Survivors include his wife, Jewell Ellis, of the home; one daughter, Linda Lee Murry, Buckner, MO; one granddaughter, Heidi Ann Murry; brother, Leo Ellis, West Sacramento, CA; and sister, Elnora Elmore, Lexington, MO.
