Patrick came from Co Armagh in Ireland. He married Mary Mitchell here in NYC NY in 1829.Patrick bought land in Perry Co OH in 1835 and farmed here till his death. He enlisted in the Union Army 31st OVI Co G as a wagoner at age of at least 50 or older. His tombstone reads he was 88 yrs old at time of death but this would make his date of birth 1791, much too old for the ages he gives in the census for 1840( btw 30 and 40), 1850(age 41),1860 (age 58) and 1870 (age 65).
