Nina Allene Hecker, 67, of Edinboro, died Tuesday in Hamot Hospital following an extended illness.

Mrs. Hecker was born in January, 1899, near Titusville, the daughter of Ambrose and Minnie Mitchell Alcorn.

She graduated from the then Edinboro Normal School in 1922 and taught in Grove City and local areas.

She married Glen Hecker in 1923 and moved to Edinboro where they lived all their lives. Her husband died in 1964. Since then she has lived with her son Irvin on Monroe St., in Edinboro.

She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Edinboro and the president of the Church's Homemaker's Class. She was also a member of the Lavery Rose Club; the Golden Age Club; the Shadbush Club; and formerly the Edinboro Grange and the Rebekahs.

Survivors include three sons, Martin, Irvin, of Edinboro and Bernard Hecker, of McKean, Pa.; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Allene) Clark, of Columbus, Ohio; and Mrs. Alvin (Millicent) Bone, of Wichita, Kansas; one sister, Mrs. Charles (Alzora) Warner, of Erie; and eight grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home in Edinboro, on Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 10 p.m., and on Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Servies will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the First United Presbyterian Church in Edinboro. The Rev. Richard Morey will conduct the services.

Interment will be in Edinboro Cemetery.
