Word of Death of Well Known Hobart Young Man Is Received.
Clarence Dorman, one of the best-known young men of Gary and Hobart, is dead at Roswell, N. M., where he went for his health shortly after election time.
Word of the young man's death was received by his father, John Dorman, city health inspector, yesterday. The telegram was from Mrs. Dorman, who arrived at Roswell the day before and it stated that death occurred at 4:45 p.m.
Mr. Dorman was a resident of the Gary Y. M. C. A. dormitory, where he lived with his brother. It is probable that the funeral will be held from the Y. M. C. A. or the First Methodist Episcopal church on Friday.
Mr. Dorman was 27 years old at the time of his death. He was born in Chicago and spent most of his life at his father's farm south of Hobart. Coming to Gary in 1909 he became cashier for the Tittle Packing Co. and retired from that concern to go into the automobile business with his brother. Last summer his health began to fail him and shortly after election he went to New Mexico in company with Emory Militeer, where he suffered stomach trouble, and his condition grew worse.
The deceased was a member of the Masonic order. He is survived by his parents and three brothers Harold, Willard and Carlisle.
