Funeral services for Phillip Bible, 55, of Warsaw Community will be held at 11AM, Monday, May 12, 2008 at Warsaw Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Harper, Rev. Buck Curry and Rev. Dennis Fontenot officiating. Visitation will be held at Warsaw Baptist Church from 4:00 to 9:00PM Sunday . Burial will be in the Lamar Community Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Delhi.

Phillip went home to be with his Lord and Savior early Saturday morning at St. Francis Medical Center following a courageous battle from cancer.
He was a life long resident of the Warsaw Community and a Deacon of Warsaw Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Crowville High School Class of 1970 and then graduated from NLU with a degree in Building Construction in 1974. Phillip has been employed most of his life in the Ag Business including Terrick (Terral Farm Service) of Delhi and Bunge North America. Phillip was a very respected man in both business and his daily walk in life. He was the type of person that gave you his word and there was no straying from it. He was a good, kind and gentle man to each and every person he met. Phillip provided a chance and opportunity to many as he saw potential in everyone. His positive attitude and belief in a person gave many a new start in life if that person made a choice to take the opportunity he gave them, Phillip never expecting anything in return. Just seeing someone succeed was his reward. His gentle quiet spirit kept most all situations calm. Phillip loved everyone especially his family and his church. Phillip was also a leader, very strong, wise and faithful in both his business and with his family. He will be missed but never forgotten and always in our hearts.

He is preceded in death by his father, Azrel Bible; the mother of his children, Lea Bible; her parents, Effie and Ray Elledge and his current father in law, Joe Hopson Sr.

Phillip is survived by his wife, Pam Bible of Warsaw; one daughter, Misty Bible of Delhi; one son, Paul Bible of Lafayette; his mother Irene Bible of Delhi; step daughter, Karri Dooley and her husband Jeffrey; step son Shannon Sutton and his wife Ann; three grandchildren, Tyler, Amber and Alizabeth Dooley; one sister, Renee Fletcher and her husband Billy of Delhi; niece and nephew, Bear and Abby Fletcher, mother-in-law Elouise Hopson; sister-in-law, Brenda Dunlap and her husband Bill and a brother-in-law, Joe Hopson.

Pallbearers will be Sharon Chapman, Gilbert Tonnag, Earnest Oswalt, Earl Pritchart, Mike Emfinger, Chris Elledge and Tony Goeders.
