Estherville – Funeral services for Lucille N. Erickson, 91, of Estherville will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 24 1999, at Estherville Lutheran Church with Pastor Jack Petersen officiating. Interment will be in Estherville Lutheran Cemetery, Estherville. She died July 21, 1999, at Avera Holy Family Hospital, Estherville.

Visitation will be held from 4-9 p.m. Friday at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville.

She was born on June 29, 1908 in Sioux City, the daughter of Charles and Sadie (Dean) Hoffa. She received her education in the Sioux City and Sanborn schools and graduated from Hawarden High School. Following high school she attended Norman Training School.

On July 21, 1927, she was united in marriage to Adolph Erickson in Pequot Lakes, Minn. Following their marriage, the couple farmed in Minnesota for a number of years, before moving to the Estherville area in 1946. They farmed north of Estherville until 1952 when Adolph died. After Adolph's death, the family moved into Estherville. She was employed at Paris Cleaners and later at the Good Samaritan Center. She retired in 1973.

She was a member of the Estherville Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her sons, Donald Erickson and wife Patricia of Estherville; Dale Erickson and wife Hazel of Estherville; daughter, Alice Mitts of Estherville; son, Roger Erickson and wife Dee of West Plains, Mo.; daughter, Mrs. Henry (Marlys) Kroenke of Estherville; 17 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Ralph (Marian) Stewart of Mason City.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one grandson, her parents, two brothers and one sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, July 23, 1999)
