KINGS MOUNTAIN — Frederick Austin Dixon, Sr., 89, of Hickory, and lifelong resident of Kings Mountain, died Jan. 11, 2008, at Frye Regional Medical Center, Hickory.

He was born in Cleveland County, and was the son of Grady and Amanda Howell Dixon.
