James was born in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky on July 4th, 1961, son of Arnold Lee and Marieta Evelyn Hayes Brown. He was a member of the Baptist Faith. James had been employed at Tokico Industries. His hobbies and interest include fishing and gardening.
James was survived by his parents, Arnold and Marieta Brown of Livingston, Kentucky; his wife, Delorise Ann Mink Brown of Ottawa, Kentucky; three step-children, Shelley Ann Tankersley (and Nathan Anglin), Sandy Tankersley, and April Lynn Mink Campbell (and Thomas); two step-grandchildren, Jacob Crowrey Donavan and Hanna Abigail Campbell; two brothers, William Lowell Brown and Eldon Lee Brown; one sister, Virginia Arlene Pheanis (and Jim); and a host of other family and friends who mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Arnold Allen Brown.
Visitations were held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 9th, 2004 at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals in Brodhead, Kentucky.
Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 10th, 2004 in the Chapel of the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with Bro. Jack Martin officiating;
Burial followed in the Skaggs Creek Cemetery in Rockcastle County, Kentucky.
