She was born August 14, 1928 in Deforest, Wisconsin, daughter of Roy and Leila Lee Blanchar. Married Harry James Groth on June 26, 1948 in Middleton, Wisconsin. She will be dearly missed, especially her cooking. Grandma was well known for her deviled eggs, cookies and many other great foods. She loved playing cards with her family and trips to Wendover.
Phyllis is survived by her husband, Harry; son, Robert (Sherrie); four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Alice; brothers: David and Bob, of Wisconsin. Preceded in death by her son, James and daughter, Joni.
Graveside Services will be held on Friday, August 29, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South. A viewing will be held on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road (1700 West).
