Death of Pioneer Woman.
Mrs. Anna [sic-Hannah] Deupree, grandmother of Attorney Edward Deupree of this city, died at her home near Edinburg Monday morning. Death was due to extreme old age. Mrs. Deupree was born in New Jersey on March 4th 1820, and came to Johnson county early in life. She has resided in this county the greater part of her life, and in the house where she died for the past fifty years.
She was of the charter members of the Edinburg Christian church. She is survived by one daughter and three sons. The funeral was held on Tuesday at the home in Edinburg.
[NOTE – Death Certificate showed she was 92 year of age; tombstone showed 93.]
