English-born Russian Vice admiral. Known in Russia as Yegor Andreyevich. Entered the Russian service in 1791 as a Captain-lieutenant of the Black Sea Fleet. In 1801 he was transferred to the Baltic Fleet where he was in charge of the different ships. He participated in the war against France 1812-1814 and was awarded St George Cross, St Anne and St Vladimir awards.
