A native and life resident of Perkinsville, he was employed 30 years by the New York State Electric and Gas Corp. prior to retiring in 1972.
He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and a member of the Perkinsville Fire Co. and Rod and Gun Club.
Survivors include his wife, Viola Rauber Bricks; two daughters, Joan Zone of Salt Lake City, Ut.; Barbara Rathbun of Naples; a son, Gerald of Perkinsville; a sister, Helen Pfuntner of Avon; four grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
A prayer service will be conducted at 10:15 a.m. at St. George-Stanton Funeral Home in Wayland followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Perkinsville with the Rev. Ronald Harley, officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Perkinsville.
