ABERNATHY - Winther Waden Brantley, 95, died Monday, Aug. 6, 2001, in Hale Center.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Northside Baptist Church with the Rev. Hollis Shewmake, retired Baptist minister, officiating. Burial will be at Dreamland Cemetery in Turkey by Bartley-Silva Funeral Home of Plainview.

Mr. Brantley lived at Turkey and Seymour before moving to Abernathy in 1972. He was a deacon, farmer and caretaker of Wichita Colony at Lake Kemp.

Survivors include two sons, Daniel Brantley of Mabank and Garland Brantley of Abernathy; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.

The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, memorials be to Northside Baptist Church building fund, Box 790, Abernathy, TX, 79311.
