CARLYN DOELY, 84, OF SPRING GROVE

Carlyn Jerome Doely, 84, of Spring Grove, passed away Friday, May 23, 2008 at Tweeten Lutheran Healthcare Services in Spring Grove.
He was born April 22, 1924 in Spring Grove to Maurice and Rosetta (Kjome) Doely and was a lifelong Spring Grove resident.
He attended Spring Grove High School. On April 22, 1944 he married Beatrice Hatling.
Doely worked at Onstad Dairy in Spring Grove,the Spring Grove Police Department, and 22 years at Spring Grove Public School before retiring in 1986.
He was a member of the Whitetails Unlimited and the National Wild Turkey Federation. Doely held a record for the largest turkey shot in Minnesota.
Survivors include his wife Beatrice of Spring Grove; his son John and his wife Jewel; his daughter, Barbara (Leon) Schuttemeier of Spring Grove; three grandchildren, Bruce(Shannon) Schuttemeier, John Carl Doely, and David Owen Doely; three great-grandchildren, Brandon, Brady, and Brock Shuttemeier; one brother, Charles Doely; and two sisters Dianne Johnson and Elizabeth Klug.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Genevieve Manson, his brother Marvin Doely, and his great-granddughter, Sabrina Schuttemeier.
Funeral services were Tuesday, May 27 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring Grove, Rev. Zane Anderson officiated. Burial was in the Trinity Church Cemetery.
