Arthur Suel Apple was the son of Franklin Pierce Apple and Nancy Ann Fields. Born and raised in Texas, he married Emma Nydia Eoff, the daughter of John Calvin Eoff and Mary Lemore Bridgewater, June 15, 1918 in Greenville, Hunt Co, Texas. They were the parents of Horace Apple (d. infancy) and Mary Ruth (Apple) McGee.

"Arthur Suel Apple, 78, of 2550 West Eighth, died Sunday at Medical Center Hospital after a long illness. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Born August 8. 1896 in Fannin County, he was married to Emma Eoff on June 15, 1918 in Greenville. He has been an Odessa resident since 1945, when he moved here from Greenville and was a retired maintenance man at Odessa College.
"Survivors include the widow of the home, a daughter, Mrs Virgil Hughes, Springs, two granddaughters, Mrs C P Rogers of Irving and Mrs Sonny Baugh of 3809 North Everglade, a grandson, Tony McGee of 2414 West 10th and six great-grandchildren."
