Elizabeth Ann Redd, 92, daughter, of Garrison and Sarah Redd was born September 23, 1846 in Platte County Missouri and came to Fremont County with her parents when a small child.
She was married to Asa Barton in 1882 and established a home northwest of Sidney. They moved Riverton fourty years ago. Her gusband served in the Civil War. He preceeded his wife in death twenty-seven years.
They were blessed with no children of their own. They were well repaid for their kindness, as he has devoted his life to caring for his aunt in her declining years. Her's was truly a house by the side of the road. No one was ever turned away hungry from her door.
