Can anyone provide proof of this? All my research indicates he is the son of Ignatius and Honor. He is listed in the 1850 census with them and his baptism record lists them as his parents. Apparently his marriage certificate to Mary E. Fels lists Ignatius and Honour though I do not have a copy of that. I would like to get this matter cleared up so that there is no further confusion. Also the cemetery listing does not list his parents as does the record for other sons of William and Eva. He fits nicely into a gap between children, but I need proof. Thanks. Mary Old
From the Catholic Vital Records of Central PA by LeDoux, p. 34 0718 ADAMS, Mattheus (Ignatii/Honoriae) b. 01-18, ceremonies of baptism supplied 03-18-1818 gp: Joannes/omitted DAG (St. Michael, Loretto).
As for William Adams and Eve Sanker as the parents, their son Thomas was b. 6 Jul 1817. Matthew Adams was born 18 Jan 1818. It's generally assumed a women would not get pregnant immediately upon the birth of a child, but if it were possible, Matthew would be born at 6 months. If you assume at least a break of one month, Matthew would have been born at 5 months - not highly likely....and then she would have been pregnant again by March, about 2 months after the Matthew. Based on the entry in the Catholic Vital records, plus the tiContributor: anggenie (49013704)me between births, it's safe to say the Ignatius and Honorae were the likely parents.

For the time being, I have removed the parents. Will change to Ignatius and Honour at a later date.
