Karl Friedrich "Fred" Kluckhuhn, son on August Anton and Cathrina Henriette Amalia Eikermann Kluckhuhn, was born 19 October 1862 in Hasebeck, Lippe, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Deutschland (Germany). His siblings were Friedrich Heinrich, Wilhelmin Emilie, Juliane Karoline, and Luise Wilhelmin Kluckhuhn.
Fred and Caroline Stork were married 6 January 1888 in Lippe, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany where their children Friedrich, Hermina, and Lena were born. Fred came to America in October of 1893 and was followed by his family in February of 1894.
Daughters Julia Johanna Augusta (1895) and Augusta Antonia(1897) were born in Divide Township, Buffalo County.
After Caroline's death in about 1899, Fred married Clara Hamer on June 18, 1900. Their son Frederich was born 18 November 1901.
Fred bought John H. Stockham's farm in March of 1901, SW4 of Section 20, T10N, R16W.

Fred Kluckhuhn died at his home Friday morning of typhoid pneumonia and was buried Saturday at ten o'clock in the Lutheran cemetery in Divide (township, Buffalo County)
