DANIEL H. HUDSON JR., 77, of Viola, died Monday in Kent General Hospital, Dover. Mr. Hudson, a farmer for many years, was one of the founders of the Delaware Produce Growers Association. He was a former member of the Murderkill Lions Club and was a member of Viola United Methodist Church, the Delaware Farm Bureau, the Delaware Herd Improvement Association, the Dairy Farmers of America Inc., the Delaware Holstein Association and the Kent County 4-H Links. He was a member and past master of Fruitland Grange 16, and was past president of the Delaware Council of Farm Organizations. Survivors: wife of 53 years, Leona Hudson; [living family names have been deleted]. Service: 4 p.m. Saturday, Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 S. Du Pont Highway, Harrington. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Burial: private.
