Private Charles S. Hanson was born at Council Bluffs, Iowa, January 21, 1893, and died at Camp Grant, Ill., October 8, 1918. He answered his country's call about a month before his death and was training for service at Camp Grant when he became ill. The cause of his death was Spanish influenza which developed into pneumonia. He was a son of Mr. Peter Hanson and Mrs. Tillie Hanson of Abdal. He leaves both parents and three brothers and three sisters to mourn his death.
