Gusta Andrew Sisco 1919 - 2008 Basham Funeral Care Graveside services for Gusta Andrew Sisco will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park on Tuesday, August 19, at 2:00 p.m. Gus was born January 18, 1919 in Cold Springs, MO and he passed away August 15, 2008 in Bakersfield, CA. He is preceded in death by his son, Gerald Sisco; daughter, Glenda Anson and granddaughter, Kelli Nolan. He is survived by his wife, Catharine Sisco; daughter and son-in-law, Lois and Eugene "Doc" Seaman; daughter and son-in-law, Anne and Gary Swain; 8 grandchildren; 25 great- grandchildren; 4 great-great- grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. Gus came to California from Missouri at the age of 17. He worked at McKee Brothers in Oildale as a machinist for 18 years. He then went to work for the Bakersfield City Fire Dept. for 20 years. After retiring, he and his wife spent many years traveling all over the United States. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He hunted deer and elk and fished for salmon and sturgeon.
