Edna Lord Austin Hughes died Tuesday, August 19, 2008. Born in Beverly, New Jersey to the late Edwin Martin Austin and Ida Lillian Lord Austin, Mrs. Hughes was a homemaker and member of the Methodist Church of Vincentown, New Jersey.
Survivors include her children, Thomas Austin Hughes of West Virginia, Charles Larry Hughes of Marshallville, GA, Ruth Lillian Hughes Kumpel of Southampton, NJ, and Donald Francis Hughes of Fort Valley, GA; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; a brother, Frank Austin and a sister, Helen Leaming Reeve. She is preceded in death by her husband, Francis Harris Hughes.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 1120 Morningside Drive, Perry, Georgia 31069. ROOKS FUNERAL HOME in Fort Valley, Georgia has charge of arrangements.
