She then married Francis George Lister, who was a widower and had previously been married to Sarah's sister, Mary. Francis George Lister had also been a Union Soldier in the Civil War. Sarah and Frances had three children together. She died on March 14, 1931, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 89, and was buried in Sugden, Oklahoma.
