The many friends of Karl Snyder will be shocked to learn that he is critically ill at St John's Hospital, having submitted to two operations for the relief of a mastoid absess. The second operation was performed last night and following it the condition of the patient improved slightly. Dr. Otto Snyder, who is camping at the Granite Springs reservoir, has been summoned to his brother's bedside.

Karl Albert Snyder passed away this morning at St. John's hospital after an illness of only a few days, from meningitis resulting from an absess in the head.

He was 26 years of age and was born and reared in Cheyenne…leaves a mother, Priscilla Snyder, a sister, Mrs. Claude Draper, and four brothers, Doctors Otto and Howard Snyder, and Ross and Kent.

Karl was married on June 15th of last year to Ethel Wilkins of St. Louis, and the widow is almost prostrated with grief over her great loss.

Karl has been employee for several years at the Union Pacific freight depot and was one of the most efficient and trusted of the company's employees.
