Gilbert E. (Gil) Cuthbert, age 92, a resident of Albuquerque since November of 1998, passed away on December 23, 1999. Gil was born on July 29, 1907 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The family moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming in 1918, from Leadville, Colorado, where he lived until his move to Albuquerque. Gil was employed as a pipe fitter by the Union Pacific Railroad in Cheyenne for 47 years. His wife, Lois, to whom he was married for almost 70 years; son, David; parents, David and Mabel; and brother, Arlington; and a granddaughter, Cindy Rogers preceded Gil in death. His daughter, JoAnn Rogers of Orlando, FL; son, Gilbert K. Cuthbert and wife, Sandi of Albuquerque; and his sister, Beth Abraham of Cheyenne, WY survive him; four grandchildren, Lesa Swisher and husband, Jeff, Craig Cuthbert and wife, Kristi, Karen Cuthbert of Albuquerque and Sandy Rogers of Orlando, FL also survive him. Gil has three great-grandchildren, Alex and Lauren Swisher and Lane Foster, all of Albuquerque.

Services and burial were held in Cheyenne, Wyoming, December 28, 1999.
