Mrs. Jacobs was born in York, on January 25, 1918, to the late Curvin and Edna May (Hock) Axe. Ruth was employed by Danskin Inc., retiring after 20 years of service. She was a member of Faith United Church of Christ, York.
She is survived by two sons, Barry M. Jacobs and his wife, Beverly of York, and Lonny G. Jacobs and his wife, Jill of Utah; seven grandchildren, Bradley Jacobs, Bonnye Haseleu, Bryan Jacobs, Shane Jacobs, Cory Jacobs, Todd Jacobs, and Lindsey Forrest; nine great-grandchildren, Jennifer Haseleu, David Haseleu, Kathleen Haseleu, James Haseleu, John Haseleu, Macy Jacobs, Boston Jacobs, Bauer Jacobs, and Preslee Jacobs; a brother, Charles Kelton, and a sister, Betty Pittenger, both of York; and her long haired dachshund, Max.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Axe.
Ruth's final resting place will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
