Earl Dickenson Skirvin, 85, of Cottonwood Falls died Friday, December 13, 1991 at Newman Hospital.
He was an operator for Cities Service Co. for thirty years and retired in 1958. He then farmed in the Matfield Green community until 1980.
Earl D. Skirvin, the son of Woodford Cee and Belva Lola Dickenson Skirvin, was born May 31,1906 at Stultz, Missouri. He married Helen Scearce on October 28, 1929 at West Plains, Missouri
He was a member of the Matfield Community Church and the Zeredatha Masonic Lodge 80.
Earl is survived by his wife; a brother, Walter Collins of Springfield, Missouri;four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Doris Skirvin Brown, and two brothers, W. Burrell and Ernest W. Skirvin.
Services were held in Cottonwood Falls. Casketbearers were Herndon Scearce, Forrest Scearce, Larry Brown, Lanny Brown, Bob Kirk and Albert Burton.
Burial was at Matfield Green Cemetery and Masonic graveside services were conducted by Zeredatha Masonic Lodge 80.
