Mrs. S.P. McGrath, of Decatur, mother of Edward McGrath, 1113 East Monroe street, died Thursday afternoon at St. Mary's hospital, Decatur, from injuries sustained when the buggy in which she was riding was struck Tuesday by an automobile on the hard road north of Decatur.

She is survived by one daughter, Esther, of Decatur; five sons, Andrew McGrath, of Decatur; Joe McGrath, of St. Louis; Raymond McGrath, of Warrensburg; and Edward McGrath, of Springfield; also one brother, Aloysius Saunders.

Funeral services were held at the residence in Decatur and later at St. Patrick's church.

Interment was made in Illiopolis cemetery.
